Xyla Voice Terms

Last updated 17 August 2026

Xyla is DAKAEi's voice assistant. Before your first call, here is what it does with your microphone, your voice, and the apps you have connected.

What Xyla is

Xyla is a spoken interface to DAKAEi. You talk, Xyla listens, and it answers out loud. It can do the same things DAKAEi can do in chat, including using the apps you have connected to your account.

Xyla is part of DAKAEi and is covered by the DAKAEi Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. These voice terms add to those; they do not replace them.

Your microphone

Starting a call asks your browser for microphone access. Your browser, not DAKAEi, controls that permission, and you can withdraw it at any time in your browser settings.

Your microphone is only used while a call is active. Ending the call stops the capture.

How your voice is processed

While a call is running, your speech is streamed to service providers who convert it to text and generate Xyla's spoken replies. This processing happens in real time and is required for voice to work at all.

A transcript of the conversation may be retained so the assistant can follow the thread, so you can review what was said, and so we can investigate faults and abuse.

Your voice and your transcripts are not sold, and are not used to advertise to you.

Connected apps

Xyla can read from and act in the apps you have connected to DAKAEi — for example your mail, calendar, or code hosting. It can only reach accounts you connected yourself, and only through the permissions you granted when connecting them.

Actions Xyla takes are real. If you ask it to send, create, or change something, it will. Treat a voice instruction with the same care as doing it yourself.

You can disconnect any app at any time in Settings. Xyla loses access immediately.

Accuracy

Xyla can be wrong, mishear you, or misunderstand what you asked. Speech recognition is imperfect, especially with names, numbers, and background noise.

Do not rely on Xyla for legal, medical, financial, or safety-critical decisions. Check anything that matters before acting on it, and read back anything important before you let it act.

Using Xyla around other people

Only speak to Xyla in a place where you are comfortable being heard, and where you are entitled to have the conversation you are having.

If other people can be picked up by your microphone, it is your responsibility to have their consent. Recording laws differ by country and by region, and some require every participant to agree.

Do not use Xyla to break the law, to impersonate anyone, to harass anyone, or to try to extract other people's personal data.

Availability and limits

Voice calls consume the same allowance as the rest of DAKAEi and are subject to your plan's limits.

Voice is offered as-is. It may be unavailable, interrupted, or changed, and specific capabilities may be added or removed.

Age

You must be at least 16 years old, or the minimum age of digital consent where you live if that is higher, to use Xyla.

Changes and contact

If these terms change in a way that matters, you will be asked to accept them again before your next call.

Questions about voice, your transcripts, or deleting them: contact DAKAEi support.
