Skill
A one-page brief with sources, disagreements, and gaps.
Narrows a broad topic to the decision underneath it, works from primary sources, and returns one page: the answer up front, what is settled, what is genuinely contested and by whom, and what it could not find out. Dated sources, and no manufactured confidence when the evidence is thin.
The full instructions this skill installs.
Use this when someone needs to understand a topic well enough to make a decision or hold a conversation.
Ask what the brief is for. "Understand quantum computing" and "decide whether to use a vector database" need completely different work. If the question is broad, narrow it to the decision underneath before searching.
Keep it to one page.
Default to one page. Ask before going longer — most requests for research want a decision, not a literature review.
